“As far as I can see, my review about the Tourer will be the first. It's a shame, because the car has been on sale for at least six months. It would help me a lot. Actually, having sold with regret the previous car (by the way, the passenger version of the Ford Transit), we came to the need for a replacement: it’s impossible to move without a car, but it’s necessary. The requirements were short: the car must be new and roomy, and 7-seater (even if we count the minimum “for the dacha”, 5 seats are not enough plus a dog and two cats). We tried from the Citroen Grand Picasso (my wife really liked the design) to the Chevrolet Orlando: it’s impossible to sit in the back row anywhere (!). So, when we came to the Chevrolet showroom for a test drive of the Orlanda, we unexpectedly tried the Zafira. Of course, in the top and with a diesel engine... Wah! (from the impressions of a test drive: water is pouring (!) from a snow-covered glass hatch in the ceiling (don’t think that it’s leaking - condensation!) It’s beautiful, but unpleasant in our climate - it’s not always possible to clean the roof every day. Panoramic glass is luxurious and beautiful ( not taking into account the price of repairs). Diesel is super. The rear row is quite drivable, which led to the choice, all other things being equal, without deducting the price. However, having wandered through other showrooms, we returned to the offer of the first one for a car produced in 12, realizing that “you can’t pass by your car!" Of course, the decision was accelerated by an excellent discount from the dealer! Ten points for him! It turned out that what each of us was looking for: for some - capacity and comfort, for others - color and dimensions, and everything else. Design - amazing, so far I've only seen one like this in the city once. In short, about the habits: it drives very dignified. There's not exactly no jolting of the box, but it's not felt, although it's not entirely possible to fully understand it - apparently, whether it's cold or not plays a role warmed up and the driving style on snow-covered secondary roads, the crowded center and embankment routes turns out to be completely different, which does not allow it to clearly adapt to the driving style. From a traffic light, of course, it’s not a car (1.4 is not a Formula car), but it’s definitely not a vegetable. On the highway there is a smooth, excellent acceleration without any notice of gearbox shifts, the speed is picked up very willingly, coolly and smoothly. A sharp, ragged style in traffic jams is not its element, but it won’t slow down either, despite the small displacement and high weight. However, even from the name its purpose is very clear - a roomy family car for long journeys. As for the distant ones, I can’t say anything yet; I personally haven’t ridden in the rear seats. However, the rear seats of the simplest configuration (without the captain’s configuration for two seats with an armrest) seem a bit harsh; it is necessary to check on a real track how “tired” they will be or not. The driver's seat also seems a little hard, but you don't notice it when traveling, there is less lateral support than expected, but I'm not a racer, I don't have the strength to take turns at speed (so much so that I'm squeezed out of the seat). It’s great that driving for several hours doesn’t cause fatigue. I would like the armrests to be slightly different, the existing ones do not really fit into the position: both the left one (in the door) and the right one are intended only for temporary support, not for constant movement, and require deviation from the average position of the driver on the seat, which interferes and gives some feeling of “something” it’s not that.” The suspension is a bit harsh, especially for the track: there it goes smoothly, as if on a ruler, but is prone to swaying on waves if the asphalt is laid so crookedly. Allows you a lot on poor surfaces, rails and speed bumps! creates the impression that one can become self-confident. But on small bumps, of course, it shakes a lot (except on the Transit, I’m already used to it). I didn’t get to the point where the suspension broke down. I like it and even really like it. One of the inconveniences is that the rear window is splashed very heavily, despite the installed spoiler; you can see how a wave of turbulence is created behind the car, settling in drops on the glass, which requires a large consumption of washer. You have to look into the side mirrors much less often (unlike the Transit, where there were just huge mirrors with separate inserts for viewing the blind spot and a complete lack of visibility back through the interior mirror) due to non-ergonomics: it requires a significant turn of the head, as opposed to just turning the eyes - Their position is a little annoying. Well, you can’t see the parking position at all in the mirrors (in Transit I’m used to even the wheels being visible in the mirror) - if you have to “fit in”, especially not between cars, but some holes or stones on the road, it’s completely unrealistic, without parking sensors it’s also very difficult to take a place It’s hard, accurately calculating the distance to the rear obstacle (someone else’s bumper) takes a long time to get used to. My seat in the car is quite high (I’m used to it), which imposes great restrictions on visibility - there is absolutely not enough visibility to the left when turning left, despite the glass inserts: the eyes are just above them! The interior mirror also gets in the way, and if you also install a navigator mount, it will get in the way even more when looking to the right. The wheels are of American size, which imposes restrictions on the availability of both tires and wheels. The low height of the rubber also requires caution when driving - it is easy to damage. The noise insulation is good, you can hardly hear the engine - just enough to feel it, you can talk calmly in the cabin, but I would like a lot more noise from the rear wheels; when the music is turned off, the noise from them is annoying. The music is very good for non-premium (you need to set it up humanly, which is not difficult, the ears of the sound engineer (daughter) confirm). Overall, I really like the car. I just want to ride it. You enjoy the ride - what more do you need? Of course, for the “lemon” you want to be “licked” too, but... We’ll chalk it up to inflation Adding from 04/17 More than 3.5 thousand are behind. The first understanding has already been drawn up. So far I'm very happy with the car: I really like the engine and gearbox, although I still haven't figured it out too much when accelerating from a standstill, when it stops stalling and hits right away “into the quarry and without delay,” and when it changes gears a little slower. It stands great on the highway even with a full load. Moreover, it is precisely the full load that it lacks for excellent handling. There is almost no difference in acceleration between empty and full. It “explodes” very well at low and medium speeds for overtaking and getting into holes when you are passed in traffic. “Impunity” in the operation of the suspension can play a cruel joke: on a not very strong transverse dip (and even marked with a sign!) of the roadway (Russia, damn it - instead of prompt repairs, we’ll put up a sign and “not our problem” ) for less than 40 km /h received a blow from below on the reverse jump. I thought I killed him! The disadvantages of ergonomics are becoming annoying. The seat had to be lowered - the view to the left is very lacking for tall people with a high seating position. Immediately there was not enough length to adjust the steering wheel towards you, and the seat cushion became short: the right leg stopped resting on the seat and began to get very tired, the muscles began to be overloaded when driving in traffic jams when the leg was constantly moving from pedal to pedal. Very annoying. There is no lumbar support at all, the torso slides down, the back begins to tense and ache. However, 9 hours without getting out from behind the wheel is quite without consequences, and this is a big plus, not everything is so bad. Conclusion for those buying a car from scratch - don’t wait to order optional, more expensive branded seats! Or take it in a more expensive configuration. I haven’t yet figured out the logic of the cruise (my first car with cruise), although I read the instructions (but I forgot it a long time ago) - I can’t turn it on with one button, even if you crack it! (it’s good that you can turn it off ). Although everyone says that the thing is good, I have not yet seen the meaning and logic of work in it. Passengers, even in the third row, feel very comfortable, even with a chumadan. Of the minuses - it gets dirty very quickly, especially the butt (car, along with the license plate) Pros: even dirty it doesn’t look bad. 04/18/2013 12.5 liters (city) for a new generation car is nonsense! Large jeeps for 300 horses can even consume less! I haven't gone to the service yet. The price of service has not yet begun to rise. Consider the corresponding star ratings from me in advance (the site requires a mandatory rating).”

Opel Zafira B review and characteristics of a family minivan
+2
Opel Zafira B. When talking about a reliable minivan, many imagine a minivan from Japan, or America. In the first case, it is a low ground clearance and right-hand drive; in the second, it is a large and voracious cruiser. Of the European brands, these are either French brands (many bypass them) or Germans. The Germans are VW - not quite budget-friendly, Mercedes - not at all budget-friendly. But there is another German manufacturer, although it has left our market, but is present in large numbers on our roads - Opel, and more specifically Opel Zafira B. That’s what I propose to talk about today.
Many people don't like this automaker. I even remember a saying I heard in one car service - A chicken is not a bird, an Opel is not a car. Everything is clear about the chicken, but I don’t agree about the Opel Zafira B. This minivan was produced from 2005 to 2014, with restyling in 2008.
Externally, the minivan still does not look like an outright old man. Yes, there is less polish and design solutions, like in the next generations, but the appearance does not classify the owner as a retiree. The minivan is easily recognizable in a stream of cars. The high roof and large glass area immediately make it clear that the car has excellent visibility and plenty of space.
When you get the Opel Zafira B you are convinced of this. Everything in German is convenient and concise, perhaps even too simple. Sophisticated car owners will be frankly disappointed by the rustic interior and simple plastics and trim. Even the peculiar parking brake lever does not correct the picture. But I repeat, everything is convenient and ergonomic.
The second row is very comfortable. The moderately thick seats have a comfortable fit. The back does not get tired even after several hours of travel. At the same time, the backrests of the third row seats are adjustable in angle. A large, wide armrest can be folded out between the outer seats of the third row. And if you need to seat a third passenger in the back, he will not feel much discomfort. Although the floor of the second row is not level and has a small tunnel.
Owners of our rare cars with a panoramic roof will be especially lucky. The electric drive opens small windows along the edges of the roof, and in the middle there are many storage niches. Convenient and unusual.
Well, if three seats on the second row are not enough, then you can add additional seats in the third row. Of course, it’s a stretch to call these places full-fledged, but if you want to bring a large group 30-50 kilometers away, it won’t be difficult.
But the trunk of the Opel Zafira B is truly large. It has 540 liters of usable volume. Few? Then we easily fold the second row, obtaining a flat surface of the trunk, and we get 1820 liters of useful volume.
The weakest in the line of gasoline engines is the 1.6-liter engine, producing 115 hp. It is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The most popular and quite reliable in our country is the 1.8 liter petrol engine with a power of 120 or 140 hp. It can be paired with either a manual transmission or a 5-speed, twitchy, robot. 2 liter engines (200 hp) and 2.2 liter engines (150 hp) were also installed. The latter came from the 6th century. Manual transmission or 4-speed automatic.
Diesel engines of 1.7 and 1.9 hp also performed well. The younger diesel engine was coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the larger one with a 6-speed full-fledged automatic transmission.
The cost of cars on the secondary market depends on age and condition. A gasoline minivan costs an average of 420 thousand rubles, a diesel one is slightly more expensive - 450-480 thousand. I personally know two owners of Opel Zafira B and they are not going to change them, like many others. There are very few alternatives for this money. Have you ever had the experience of owning an Opel Zafira B?
