Sellers were selected according to the criteria of minimum, average and maximum prices from among those delivering throughout Russia, with large Trading Houses and Centers, as a rule, also acting as online stores. For comparison, the regional Robin Hood store was also taken. Among the latter, I also include everyone involved in sports, even if you call it “amateur” three times.

1. Price . The difference in the cost of one model is often dictated by the configuration. Let's say, instead of a collimator there will be an optical sight. But this does not always explain the significant spread in prices - it is rather associated with the presence in the warehouse of “pre-collapse” goods that are sold at the same price tags.

The problem is aggravated by a fair amount of confusion, especially in the budget segment itself, where Taiwanese and Chinese companies reign. The fact is that there is no mass production of bows and crossbows in Russia.

Small crossbow workshops and individuals produce expensive souvenir products (“to dear PalPalych from his subordinates”) or one-piece recurve models with impressive characteristics.

Master bowmakers, mainly on individual orders, make inexpensive traditional and classic bows, often superior to mass-produced models of the same “Samik” (see “Useful Links”).

Plus various kinds of “homemade products”, which sometimes create completely unique designs purely out of interest.

And it's all. Behind the Interloper branded models is the Taiwanese "Poe Lang", and the "Yarrow" is essentially "Man Kung" with different inscriptions on the weakened shoulders. Things are still more complicated with Chinese products.

The same product may be sold under different brands at different prices. More often, small and regional online stores are guilty of this. Herds of very worthy, but completely identical “Foxes” and “Sapsan”, “Rangers” and “Lancelots” (as well as their analogues under alphanumeric “names”) with a double price range roam the Internet. They offer to purchase a certain “Crossbow Scorpio MK-150”, although these are completely different models from different manufacturers.

Under the same sauce, sometimes crafts of completely murky origin are sold, but outwardly they are very similar to cheap “emkashki”. What sections mainly specialize in in various kinds of “Sporting Goods” and other “Haberdashery” (for more details, see the article “Bow, crossbow, pneumatics: where and how to buy”).

Confusion also happens with models from leading overseas manufacturers. Especially when the seller forgets to indicate the additional index of the simplified version of the product, as a result of which it turns out to be very competitive with respect to the basic model with the same name.

In short, when choosing, be careful and leisurely, read detailed reviews, compare technical specifications and photographs.

Keep in mind that “Borners” and “Smersh”, “Glaciers” and “Cybergans” are, in fact, trademarks of one of the global manufacturers, so within similar models they differ mainly in decorative elements. Although there are some preferences in the pneumatic world, more often you have to rely on the principle of “lucky or unlucky” when purchasing. The quality of most of these generally consumer goods products is not always stable and the materials are far from weapons-grade (for details, see the article “Short Barrel”).
3. Delivery . If bows, crossbows and pistols up to 3 joules reach you in many ways, including Russian post, then air rifles are delivered only by transport companies, since sending civilian weapons by post is prohibited. The crossbow can be quickly disassembled to a very compact size of 60x17x33cm.

The built-in lever allows you to cock the crossbow with one movement of the hand and reduces cocking effort by 78%. With a draw weight of up to 210 pounds, even a fragile girl can cock this crossbow. The lever allows you to load the crossbow in any conditions - standing in deep snow, in a boat, in a swamp or in the water, anywhere where a conventional stirrup crossbow is difficult or impossible to cock.

It is impossible to skew the bowstring on this crossbow. The unique arms are made of composite materials used in the Russian aerospace industry. They have high elasticity, can be deformed within large limits without manifestation of material fluidity, and are safe in case of destruction. The tension force can vary from 43 to 85 kg.

The special design of the ends of the arms allows you to independently replace the bowstring in field conditions, without the use of other mechanisms.

The sighting bar is made of steel, has horizontal and vertical adjustments, it is easily adjusted, allowing you to minimize corrections made when zeroing on the sight itself.
