Nissan Murano
is a mid-size crossover from the Japanese company Nissan, produced since 2002. The car was designed by Nissan Design America of La Jolla (San Diego, California). Named after one of the islands in Italy - Murano. In 2010, a convertible version was introduced in the United States.
In January 2011, commercial production of the Murano crossover began at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.[1]
Nissan Murano Z52
The third generation Murano was presented on April 14, 2014 at the New York Auto Show.[4] Its iconic image is a concept car called "Nissan Resonance".

Nissan Murano Z51 chassis problems
Numerous owners of Nissan Murano have recorded the occurrence of muffled knocks in the front suspension with a mileage of ten to twenty thousand. kilometers. The reason is the front anti-roll bar bushings.
When a problem was found, approved Nissan service centers transformed the bushings, but only after ten to twenty thousand. kilometers the knocking appeared again. Over time
The power steering pump howls in the cold after starting - another problem with the Nissan Murano Z51. A possible reason is that the liquid power steering substance has frozen quite strongly in the cold. It has been recorded that after the fluid change is completed, sales representatives do not experience any changes, that is. the voice remains.
And if the “unique” liquid is replaced with a high-quality analogue, then the howling often goes away. The “winter death” of power steering pumps on vehicles under warranty is intended as indirect evidence of the presence of difficulties with the fluid. The cost of the newest pump is approximately twenty to twenty-five thousand. rub…

⇡#Remote engine start
Nissan Murano is equipped with a very interesting feature - remote engine start. There is a special button on the chip key, pressing which starts the engine. For the technology to work, the car must be at a distance of no more than 60 meters. After remote start, the engine runs for 10 minutes - this time is usually enough to heat or, conversely, cool the interior. So Murano owners will not have to install third-party alarm systems with auto start, which, as a rule, are easily hacked by intruders.

⇡#Interior
From a car with such a striking appearance, you expect an equally unusual interior, but the Murano designers didn’t have enough courage for the interior. Inside, the crossover is not bad, but there is nothing revolutionary in sight.
The center console is edged with a silver plastic trim in the shape of the letter V and echoes the shape of the radiator grille. It would be a stretch to call the salon made in high-tech style: at least there is no “wood-like” plastic so beloved by the Japanese here – and thank you for that. The silver-black interior looks good, although it is not luxurious.
The touch screen of the multimedia system with a diagonal of 8 inches is recessed into an area made of glossy plastic, which, naturally, quickly collects fingerprints, and dust on it is visible within a couple of days after washing. Physical keys around the display allow you to minimize the number of times you access the screen, as well as adjust the volume level on the go, but they look a little clumsy.
The climate control control unit is located within easy reach. Its screen pleases with clear graphics; two washers allow the driver and passenger to conveniently adjust the temperature in their zones. The auxiliary keys are made of the same branded plastic.
At the very bottom of the center console is the engine start button. Not the most typical place, but you get used to it in a couple of days. To the right are the washers for adjusting the heating and ventilation of the driver and passenger seats. It’s not very convenient to use them in the dark - you won’t immediately understand whether the heating or ventilation is turned on, and if so, then how much.
Next to the gear lever are a pair of cup holders and a small compartment with a hinged lid. There are USB and AUX connectors.
The wide armrest, which for some reason is not entirely upholstered in leather, hides a spacious compartment inside where another 12-V socket is located.
The steering wheel, upholstered in rough leather with two silver inserts, looks quite simple. Control of the on-board computer and music playback volume is placed on the left side of the wheel, and the logic of these keys is not very obvious. The steering wheel is equipped with heating, and the entire rim is heated, and the heating power is such that after five minutes your palms naturally burn.
Nissan Murano's instruments delight you with their brevity and convenience. A large color screen with nice graphics is inscribed in the space between the speedometer and tachometer.
As often happens, the button for turning on the heated steering wheel is located in not the most convenient area - above the left knee. There are also keys for changing the brightness of the instruments, resetting the daily mileage, turning off ESP, opening the trunk, turning on the headlight washers and activating the eco mode. Nearby you can see the lever for changing the position of the steering wheel - the Murano is equipped with electrical adjustment.
It's funny, but the most innovative detail of the Nissan Murano interior is the seats. They are called Nissan Zero Gravity - the phrase “zero gravity” again refers us to space technology. Some of our colleagues mistakenly write that NASA specialists took part in the development of the seats. As Nissan explains on its official website, the engineers of the Japanese company were only inspired by the ideas of NASA. Thus, in zero gravity, the body itself assumes a neutral position - a natural position in which the least load is placed on the bones and joints. Using this information, Nissan engineers created Zero Gravity technology to improve driver and passenger comfort on long journeys.
To compensate for muscle fatigue, a person begins to slouch, which, in turn, increases the curvature of the spine, puts pressure on the lower back and leads to even greater fatigue. The unique shape and patented Zero Gravity design, created with 14 different pressure points, keeps the rider in a neutral position and provides constant support from hips to shoulders. This natural ergonomic design helps maximize blood flow and maintain energy levels. According to Nissan, the concept underwent extensive testing using a driving simulator, including long-term driving, and biomechanical analysis before entering production. The test group included men and women of different heights and builds. There were even medical tests carried out, such as blood samples taken to evaluate lactic acid levels to confirm a reduction in muscle tension and fatigue.
This all sounds, of course, very, very good, but outwardly the seats in the Murano are no different from the seats in other cars. There were no complaints about them while driving, but it’s impossible to say that they provide any special comfort. Perhaps, to feel their uniqueness, you need to spend five or six hours driving in a row.
The door cards have a nice design, combining leather-upholstered handles and plastic trim elements well. The size of the mirrors is sufficient for maneuvering in city traffic, and indicators warning about a car in the blind spot are located inside the cabin, on the A-pillars.
The folding glove compartment here is of medium capacity - there is enough space for storing documents and various small things.
Even tall passengers can sit comfortably in the back row of the Nissan Murano - there is more than enough space for the front seats, and the flat floor does not interfere with moving around the cabin.
The chairs can be moved and the backrest tilt can be changed.
Passengers have access to air ducts for the climate system, two-level heated seats, as well as USB and HDMI connectors, the purpose of which you will guess from the following pictures.
Yes, yes, passengers can connect various content sources to play it on displays built into the headrests of the front seats. You can control the process using the included remote control.
The Nissan Murano does not have the largest trunk in its class - only 454 liters.
Underground there is a full-size spare wheel on an alloy wheel of the same size. A Bose subwoofer is hidden inside. The second row seats can be folded straight from the trunk. There is also another 12-V socket where you can, for example, connect a tire inflator. If you fold the second row seats, an almost flat area is formed where you can even fit a small refrigerator.
Excerpt describing Nissan Murano
- Yes, that is, how? - said Pierre. “As a non-military person, I can’t say that I completely, but I still understood the general arrangement.” “Eh bien, vous etes plus avance que qui cela soit, [Well, you know more than anyone else.],” said Prince Andrei. - A! - Pierre said in bewilderment, looking through his glasses at Prince Andrei. - Well, what do you say about the appointment of Kutuzov? - he said. “I was very happy about this appointment, that’s all I know,” said Prince Andrei. - Well, tell me, what is your opinion about Barclay de Tolly? In Moscow, God knows what they said about him. How do you judge him? “Ask them,” said Prince Andrei, pointing to the officers. Pierre looked at him with a condescendingly questioning smile, with which everyone involuntarily turned to Timokhin. “They saw the light, your Excellency, as your Serene Highness did,” Timokhin said, timidly and constantly looking back at his regimental commander. - Why is this so? – asked Pierre. - Yes, at least about firewood or feed, I’ll report to you. After all, we were retreating from the Sventsyans, don’t you dare touch a twig, or some hay, or anything. After all, we are leaving, he gets it, isn’t it, your Excellency? - he turned to his prince, - don’t you dare. In our regiment, two officers were put on trial for such matters. Well, as His Serene Highness did, it just became so about this. They saw the light... - So why did he forbid it? Timokhin looked around in confusion, not understanding how or what to answer such a question. Pierre turned to Prince Andrei with the same question. “And so as not to ruin the region that we left to the enemy,” said Prince Andrei with malicious mockery. – This is very thorough; The region must not be allowed to be plundered and the troops must not be accustomed to looting. Well, in Smolensk, he also correctly judged that the French could get around us and that they had more forces. But he couldn’t understand that,” Prince Andrei suddenly shouted in a thin voice, as if breaking out, “but he couldn’t understand that we fought there for the first time for Russian land, that there was such a spirit in the troops that I had never seen, that We fought off the French for two days in a row and that this success increased our strength tenfold. He ordered a retreat, and all efforts and losses were in vain. He didn’t think about betrayal, he tried to do everything as best as possible, he thought it over; but that’s why it’s no good. He is no good now precisely because he thinks everything over very thoroughly and carefully, as every German should. How can I tell you... Well, your father has a German footman, and he is an excellent footman and will satisfy all his needs better than you, and let him serve; but if your father is sick at the point of death, you will drive away the footman and with your unusual, clumsy hands you will begin to follow your father and calm him down better than a skilled but stranger. That's what they did with Barclay. While Russia was healthy, a stranger could serve her, and she had an excellent minister, but as soon as she was in danger; I need my own, dear person. And in your club they made up the idea that he was a traitor! The only thing they will do by slandering him as a traitor is that later, ashamed of their false accusation, they will suddenly make a hero or a genius out of the traitors, which will be even more unfair. He is an honest and very neat German... “However, they say he is a skilled commander,” said Pierre.
