Features of the package
The very first modifications of Tahoe worked on these power units. Between 1995 and 1999, the car was introduced to North American audiences. The angular lines immediately became recognizable, and gradually transferred the SUV to the category of cult. This engine is powered by gasoline and works in tandem with an automatic transmission. - Alexander, Serpukhov. I bought a Tahoe 5.7 AT in 2008 and it was already well supported. At that time, the machine celebrated its 10th anniversary. I wasn’t going to leave it for long, but riding this monster convinced me. Of course, if you press the gas pedal to the floor, the consumption jumps to 25-28 liters. And so 12-15 liters in a mixed cycle.
- Sergey, Ivanovo. I bought the vehicle back in 2005 (1999 model). I invested a decent amount of money in Tahoe. Only the engine remained untouched. Americans know how to make engines. GM honor and praise. But the consumption could have been lower; after all, 13.5 liters/100 km hits the pocket hard.
- Igor, Arkhangelsk. Although the Tahoe is a healthy SUV, it’s difficult to call it an all-terrain vehicle. You have to be smart about getting into real dirt. The car is heavy and quickly sits on its belly. And the wheels, thanks to the stupidity of the motor, can easily dig up an entire estate.

- Ilya, Tuapse. I have a 1st generation Chevrolet Tahoe, the car was manufactured in 1998. Naturally, I wouldn’t buy a car like that at all. This is a used kit, purchased in 2010. I am the second owner. The car has traveled 160 thousand kilometers. The car cost me 400 thousand rubles. Fully equipped, maximum set, maximum variation. If it weren't for diesel, I probably wouldn't have bought it. With an operating volume of 6.5 liters, the diesel engine produces 182 hp. s., and consumes 19 liters per hundred kilometers. Gasoline engines consume much more.
- Ilya, Chrysostom. I drive a used 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe with the 5.7L. 258 hp engine p., with automatic transmission. This car pleasantly surprised me with its dimensions and mega-spacious interior. Moreover, I liked the huge trunk, in which it is possible to “accommodate” a couple more people. Or a variety of cargo accessories, including long items, can be transported. A powerful engine consumes 20+ liters per hundred kilometers, which is not so bad. Outside the city it is possible to fit 16 liters per hundred kilometers.
